Laidbare For Richer For Porer 'Miracle' Mask - Review*

'For Richer For Porer'

Laidbare naturally inspired beauty is an everyday collection of natural skin and body care products. Laidbare offers a healthy way to achieve clear, radiant and youthful skin, without the high-end price tag. The Laidbare regime has been developed free from harsh chemicals and synthetic ingredients, to ultimately keep your skin healthy and looking as young and fresh as possible! Laidbare highlights the benefit of every ingredient, with each natural extract defined. Our natural formulas are highly beneficial for all skin types, whatever your age.

Mask imperfections and reduce pores with our cleansing and hydrating facial masque. Kaolin Clay draws out impurities and toxins, Japanese Seaweed Extract detoxifies and smoothes the skin. Shea Butter gives hydration and conditions skin, whilst Liquorice helps minimise inflammation and Rose Water soothes irritation. A natural micro-exfoliation process to stimulate cell renewal for porcelain skin. Ideal for anti-ageing concerns & problematic skin types.

Sadly this is another product that turned out differently to what I was expecting. I was looking forward to a hard drying face mask due to the Kaolin Clay being in the ingredients but unfortunately, it didn't dry at all. Other than that, I love the Liquorice scent that it has and the Seaweed extract made my skin feel soft and exfoliated afterwards.

Botanicals Lemongrass & Tea Tree Foot Scrub - Review*

Scrub a dub!

Quintessentially English, Botanicals Organic Skincare contains the best quality, sustainable, certified organic and natural ingredients to promote both personal and environmental health and wellbeing. All products are made fresh in small batches to preserve their active botanical properties, and processing methods ensure that the active nutrient (vital life force) of the plant isn't destroyed by heat or over-processing. Botanicals are one of the pioneers of British made certified organic skincare, and one of the first brands to have an entire range of products certified by the Soil Association. Botanicals have dedicated the last ten years to researching, developing and producing their range of totally natural and organic skin care products, winning both consumer praise and industry awards, culminating this year in Botanicals winning Best Brand in the FreeFrom Skincare Awards.

Botanicals revitalising natural scrub exfoliates dead skin cells, whilst softening hard, dry skin on the feet. Made with Himalayan mineral crystal, Dead Sea salt and skin softening shea butter.

When looking for a replacement to my previous foot scrub I came across this Lemongrass & Tea Tree scented one by Botanicals from LoveLula. As soon as I saw the scent of the product I was really interested as I thought it would smell very refreshing. I was correct about the scent and I really like it as it's perfect for a foot product. To use the scrub all you need to do is take a little from the jar and mix it with some water. Then simply rub and work the scrub into your feet making sure you focus on any dry areas. I like to use the foot scrub whilst I'm in the shower as it's easier to wash off afterwards. I find that my feet were left feeling very soft and smooth after using the scrub on them. And even though the scrub is pleasant to use, I still feel the need to scrub my feet with a foot file to remove any excess skin.

LUSH Grease Lightining Spot Treatment - Review

LUSH Cosmetics are highly against animal testing and use only ethical ingredients. All of their products are handmade and are 100% vegetarian-friendly, not all are vegan-friendly, so make sure you look out for the Vegan Society Approved stamp!

When your skin needs to shape up there’s no need to lose control. The (natural) power that antibacterial tea tree and witch hazel are supplying is purifying while antioxidant-rich grape juice helps to cleanse and soothe. If you're hopelessly devoted to clear skin, apply with a finger as often as you like. So easy even a beauty school drop-out could do it.

Grease Lightning is a thick gel-like consistency that can be used to directly banish spots. I personally found that the gel had reduced the redness of my spots after it had been left on overnight. I prefer using the product during the night because once applied you're left with a shiny film over the said spot. The main downside to this product though is its pump. I prefer putting the gel directly onto my spots, this means I only require a small amount of the product each time when using it. The pump tends to give you more product to work with as you can't easily control how much comes out of it.

Maggie Anne Strawberry & Grape Nail Polish Remover & Maggie Anne Nail Polish in Colours Pearl & Ruby - Review*

Maggie Anne is a six toxin free gel-effect nail polish which is ultra glossy and has a high shine, with a sensational gel-like finish. All Maggie Anne gel effect polishes are not only made without the three common chemicals found in nail polishes (Toluene, Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Formaldehyde) but also without three other very dangerous chemicals (Formaldehyde Resin, Camphor and THTP). The company also offer three amazing fragrances of Acetone-Free nail polish removers.

Maggie Anne's Strawberry & Grape Nail Polish Remover is an Acetone-free product enriched with vitamin E and Argan Oil. With scents of a sweet fresh-picked and sugared strawberry with hints of grape. An aroma with undertones of grape, this is a sweet, less tart strawberry scent. The perfect summer aroma. Maggie Anne's nail polish in Ruby is the ultimate sophisticated bright red. And Pearl is an intense black cream, a timeless classic black for all occasions.

Red and black are both timeless colours when it comes to nail polishes. Both Ruby and Pearl went on nicely with just a few strokes to fully cover one nail and only one layer of the polish was needed. The gel effect polish is said to last 5-7 days with two coats of colour and a Special Gel Topcoat. And I can confirm that even without the Special Gel Topcoat, both nail polishes lasted a good few days before chipping. Sadly the Acetone-Free Nail Polish Remover seemed to leave my nails feeling very dry, almost like the top layer had come off. I rubbed moisturiser into my nails afterwards to help with the dryness. It also took me a few cotton pads to fully remove the nail polishes and the stains from them.
