Yes To Carrots Fragrance-Free Exfoliating Cleanser - Review*

All of our products are made with at least 95% natural ingredients, and you can tell the exact percentage on the front of each package. We know the next question – what exactly is a natural ingredient? Natural ingredients are those that come from or are made from a renewable resource found in nature Flora, Fauna and Mineral. We are all about saying YES, but there are some things that we very clearly say NO to. They include parabens, chemical sunscreens and other potentially harmful ingredients. Yes To is Cruelty-Free and a certified member of the Leaping Bunny Program. Our products are tested on YES TO employees, friends and family, but never (ever) on animals.

This dermatologist-tested scrub is perfect for normal-to-dry skin types who are looking for nourishment and fragrance-free formula. A natural cleanser packed with organic carrots for a natural antioxidant to protect skin, shea butter for hydration, essential oils to nurture skin and ground bamboo to gently exfoliate your skin. All of the Yes To products are cruelty-free,  99% natural, petroleum, SLS, and paraben free. And also most of their products are suitable for vegans, yay!

I was very kindly sent this Yes To Carrots Fragrance-Free Exfoliating Cleanser from Yes To after reviewing another one of their products in a previous review. I really enjoyed the light flowery scent (surprisingly not carrots!) of this exfoliating cleanser. It has a much better smell than their Grapefruit scented one which I really disliked! I also found that it left my skin feeling quite soft after I had used it in the shower. The only two things that I'm not a fan of is that I found it to be quite a thin cream and I found that that bamboo particles weren't large enough for my liking. In other reviews, I've read that you can see the bamboo exfoliating particles, but I couldn't see any in mine and I found it to be quite gritty rather than exfoliating because of the smaller particles. I really prefer a creamy face scrub that gives me a deep scrub when it comes to face scrubs. So I'm half and half with this one! Although this scrub is better than the previous one I tried I still won't be repurchasing this product again as I prefer a scrub that's more creamy that has larger exfoliating ingredients.

We provide products of genuine organic integrity at an affordable price, without compromise in formulation or function – making organic lifestyle choices more accessible for all.

Bentley Organic Hand Sanitizer kills 99.9% of bacteria using only natural ingredients. Free from SLS, parabens and alcohol this product is gentle on the skin but tough on germs. With added, Organic Lemon Oil leaving hands hygienically clean and smelling wonderfully fresh! This handy little bottle contains up to 125 applications per bottle, no need for water and towels.

The second product I chose to review this month kindly sent to me from MyPure, was the Bentley Organic Hand Sanitizer with organic lemon oil. After a while of searching for cruelty-free and vegan hand sanitizer, I came across this Bentley Organic Hand Sanitizer with Organic Lemon Oil. At first, I wasn't too sure about a foam hand sanitizer as I hadn't used one before and thought it would be a bit messy considering it was foam. When I first tried it out, my hands did feel a bit sticky afterwards, but this was for a short time only as my hands weren't sticky once it had fully dried on my hands after rubbing the foam in more. Some people may not like the idea of a sweetly scented hand sanitizer but I really love them in comparison to the medical smell you can sometimes get from other hand gels. The smell is a light sweet smell of lemon which I really like as it smells fresh and clean. The bottle is a great size to take out with you when you're going to have restricted access to soap and water and is also great to keep in your bag at all times! I think I'll definitely consider buying this hand sanitizer again after I've run out as I really love the smell of it.

A'kin Lavender, Geranium & Jojoba Hand, Nail & Cuticle Cream - Review*

MyPure was the first UK store to sell A'kin way back in 2004, since then it has gone on to become one of the UK's favourite natural beauty brands. We have collected over 2000 A'kin reviews and the fantastic feedback is real proof A'kin delivers great results. A'kin is made from the finest natural ingredients, chosen for their purity and skin friendly compatibility. A'kin does not contain sulfates, ethoxylates, parabens, propylene glycol, petrochemical cleansers, silicones, phthalates, mineral oils, DEA and artificial colours. All A'kin products are ingredient-rich, vegan, and use certified organic ingredients where possible, they have been formulated without animal ingredients or animal testing. A'kin products are certified vegan by the Australian Vegan Society.

This Lavender, Geranium & Jojoba Hand, Nail & Cuticle Creme is enriched with Vitamin B5, Vitamin E and Shea Butter to give you soft supple hands along with strong nails. The hand creme is a smooth and rapidly absorbing creme made with the healing vitamins E and B5, along with moisturising shea butter and jojoba oil, all of which nourish the cuticles and also leave your hands soft, supple and youthful looking.

I decided to choose the A'kin Hand, Nail & Cuticle Cream to be one of my reviewing products from MyPure this month. Since my hands get quite dry during the Winter time, I've been trying out a few new vegan and cruelty-free hand creams. I've really enjoyed using this hand creme by A'kin as it's left the skin on my hands feeling really really soft and it seems to keep my dryness at bay. I find the scent of this hand creme to have a subtle smell of the Lavender and a more knowing smell of the Geranium. I think the mixture of all three of the scents needs to be something that you know you like the smell of. I find that it's not my most favourite scent for a hand cream but I do find that it's growing on me and that it still works its magic on my dry hands! After using this up I am interested in trying out their unscented version of this hand cream, as I love how soft my hands become after using it but I'm not such a fan of the scent.

Natracare Ultra Extra Long Pads, Ultra Extra Normal Pads & Intimate Wipes - Review*

Natracare is an award winning, ethical company committed to offering organic and natural solutions for personal health care that leave a soft footprint on the earth. All of their products are organic and they use natural materials that meet the highest organic, environmental and biodegradable standards. And because Natracare does not use any animal ingredients nor test on animals, all of their products are suitable for vegans.

Every year, billions of plastic laden pads and liners are disposed of by women. Most of these pads are made from over 90% crude oil plastic which goes on to pollute global environments forever. Generally, the plastic waste ends up in landfill sites and the oceans of the world forever causing visual pollution and damaging marine life and ultimately the food chain. By choosing Natracare, you are saying no to crude oil plastics.

Like all Natracare products, the Ultra Extra Pads are totally chlorine free, free from plastics, all petroleum derivatives, GMOs, superabsorbents, perfumes and dyes. They're also 95% biodegradable and compostable which is amazing! The absorbent core of the pad is made from Forest Stewardship Council certified pulp and the cover that is next to your skin is certified organic 100% cotton. Natracare also offer a full range of absorbencies to choose from, the normal absorbency is suitable for medium flow and the long absorbency is suitable for heavy flow and for night time.

The lovely Madeline who works for Natracare, (a company who stands for more than just organic and natural products), kindly sent me these three products to review after reading a previous review I had written about a few of their products. I was sent two packets of Natracare pads to try out, the Long Ultra Extra Pads and the Normal Ultra Extra Pads.  My favourite out of the two is the normal pads, these are a lot like the Regular Ultra Pads which I wasn't too keen on but are a lot thicker and I found them more comfy to wear than the other ones. I found that they didn't bunch up like the regular pads had beforehand and because they were thicker I felt safer when using them. Using only plant-derived materials, a soft cushioned layer and a compressed absorbent core give you a double layer of protection to lock away moisture. Soft and gentle, certified organic cotton next to your skin lets you breathe and stay dry, helping to avoid the irritation and discomfort which can be experienced with conventional sanitary pads. I found that the long Ultra Extra Pads were a good thickness but far too long for me. I think they would be preferred by someone who has a heavy flow and who likes to wear a pad during the night.

I was also sent a packet of the Organic Intimate Wipes, these soft cleansing wipes are designed for women to use as part of their daily intimate hygiene, especially during that time of the month. The individual wipes are of high quality and the solution ingredients are derived from natural, renewable and sustainable resources and are biodegradable and compostable. The wipes are soft and strong, certified organic, 100% cotton and are infused with the certified organic essential oils of chamomile, calendula and French rose as well as natural plant extracts, all of which will cleanse and refresh, leaving the skin softened. I found the smell of these lovely but I thought the scent was a little too full on for intimate wipes but they still did the job! The gentle formula used in the wet wipes is free from alcohol, detergents such as sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS and any of its close relatives), parabens, SHG and other types of toxic, formaldehyde-releasing preservatives. Overall I will be repurchasing the Normal Ultra Extra Pads again as they're one of the best vegan and cruelty-free pads I have come across.

Green People Fruit Scrub Exfoliator - Review*

With a wealth of knowledge and experience, Green People offers a complete range of certified organic products for all of the family. Green People products are packed with up to 99% active natural and organic ingredients to protect, nourish, balance and, most importantly, respect your body.

This organic Apricot, Bergamot and Mandarin Face Scrub is a highly effective yet gentle natural exfoliator for instant radiance. It removes dead skin cells and impurities for a glowing complexion. It also softens the skin and retains natural oils and is uplifting with a light citrus aroma. The scrub is alcohol-free and is also skin-balancing and is free from marine-damaging plastic microbeads. Green People also donate 10% of net profit to charity and their products are not tested on animals and never contain: Sodium lauryl/laureth sulphate, parabens, lanolin, phthalates, propylene glycol, alcohol (ethyl alcohol, ethanol), harsh foaming agents, synthetic fragrances, irritating emulsifiers, PABA-sunscreen, petrochemicals, colourants, urea, DEA, TEA or PEG’S to bring you the purest products that nature can offer.

A few months ago the lovely Amy who works for Green People kindly sent me their Fruit Scrub Exfoliator to review for them as I was very eager to try it out. I've already used up the one that they sent me and I'm now on to my second tube already which I received for Christmas! This is my kind of face scrub, light smelling, creamy with a good amount of exfoliating beads. The smell of this scrub reminds me a little of sun cream which I quite like as it's sweet and light and not overpowering at all. With this face scrub, I feel like I'm getting a really good deep clean which I really like in a face scrub due to my blackheads and dry skin that can appear around my nose and cheeks, so this scrub is really great for both oily and dry skin. I also really love that this product is certificated vegan, organic and is also cruelty-free. The only downside to this product is that I wish there was a bigger tube available for the same price. And because of this, I feel like I have to use as little as possible of the scrub each time I use it so that it doesn't run out quickly!

Alva Rhassoul Pimple Stick - Review*

Alva Naturkosmetik is a range of certified organic skin care made in Osnabrück, Germany. Alva was established in 1988 and is now one of Europe's leading natural skin care brands. The Alva range is split into several categories. The Naturkosmetik range includes essential natural skin care items such as deodorants, shower gels and body lotions. For more specialised skin care try the Alva Sanddorn range for anti-ageing products, the Alva Rhassoul range for acne-prone and oily skin or the Alva Coleur range for makeup.

The Alva Rhassoul Pimple Stick combats bacteria that cause spots and blemishes and helps to dry the spots out without dehydrating the surrounding skin tissue. Compact, easy to apply and ideal for travelling. Rhassoul Pimple Stick is also suitable for treating insect bites and stings as the tea tree oil and manuka oil help prevent itching and promote wound healing.

The second product that I chose to try out for reviewing purposes from MyPure this month was the Alva Rhassoul Pimple Stick. I've been trying out this roll-on pimple stick for a while now and it seems to do the job that it's described to do so. As the product contains tea tree oil the smell of this product is quite strong, due to this I've only been using small amounts of the oil at a time and have only been using it at night time before bed. I've noticed that the smaller amount of product that is used the less strong the smell has been. As described for what it should do my spots have correctly been dried out without drying the surrounding skin and have also been going down a lot quicker than usual when using the stick. This product is also a great product to take away with you on holiday or to put into your handbag for everyday use as it's such a small convenient travel sized bottle! Overall I might repurchase this product again when I've run out of it due to its fast calming spot work.
