Veeda's Natural Cotton Ultra-Thin Regular Pads & Natural Cotton Regular Tampons - Review*

I was looking through my emails and I had surprisingly received an email from Sandra asking whether I'd be interested in reviewing a few of Veeda's feminine care products. I was kindly sent a few samples of their Natural Cotton Ultra-Thin Regular Pads and their Natural Cotton Regular Tampons to try out. 

Veeda's range is the cheapest, yet natural and still good quality brand that I've come across so far! All of their products are made without chemicals, synthetics or dyes and they're whole range is biodegradable, hypo-allergenic and fragrance free. All of their cotton is prepared using oxygen-based cleansing agents for a totally chlorine, dioxin, and pesticide free product.

Their Natural Cotton Ulta-Thin Regular Pads are described as being engineered for maximum absorption and unparalleled comfort. With their unique blend of highly absorbent cellulose fluff and their furrowed design to trap liquids, Veeda's Towels and Liners are particularly effective for heavy flows. Their oxygen cleansing (no bleach, ever!), "silk soft" coversheet, and anatomically-designed shape make Veeda Pads and Liners body-friendly and safe. When I first saw the pads I'd loved how slim and compacted the packaging looked and thought these will fit into bags nicely! I found the Ultra-Thin Regular Pads to be comfortable throughout the day and even though these pads are described as ultra-thin (which you might worry about), I didn't have any leaks whilst using them which is always a bonus.

Their Natural Cotton Regular Tampons are said to provide the comfort and reliability you value without compromising your health or our precious environment. Free of chemicals, synthetic fibers, additives and pesticides, you can be sure that only the softest, purest, most hypoallergenic material on earth comes in contact with your skin. The Regular Tampons were a little difficult to insert for me as I'm used to using an applicator when I do decide to use a tampon. Even though it took a little long to insert I found them comfortable to wear after they were in use correctly and they didn't leak during the day. I haven't tried these whilst sleeping though as I prefer to use my Moon Cup during the night due to how comfortable and practical I find it to be instead of tampons.

Cottons Applicator Regular Tampons & Regular Flow Ultra Thin Pads With Wings - Revie

Cottons are 100% natural cotton tampons and 100% Natural Cotton Coversheet Sanitary Towels. Fragrance, Bleach and Rayon free.

Cottons Applicator Regular Tampons

Cottons tampons give you the protection you can count on. They are just as effective as other brands, but unlike most other brands (which are mostly made from synthetic materials like rayon, polypropylene and polyethene), Cottons are only made from 100% natural cotton. Cottons tampons are also hypo-allergenic and biodegradable. This sized tampon is suitable for a medium flow of approximately 6-9g of absorbency.

When I got my tampons out of their box I realised that they looked exactly the same as another brand I had come across! The only difference between the other brand and Cottons is that Cottons tampons are made with organic cotton and the other branded tampons are not. I found these tampons comfortable to use and I didn't have any problems with them regarding leaks or product quality.

 Regular Flow Ultra Thin Pads With Wings

Cottons Ultra Thin Pads are highly effective and discreet, but unlike other pad brands Cottons also have a unique 100% cotton coversheet, which makes them very comfortable and hypo-allergenic. These sized pads are suitable for a medium flow and are made from 100% fragrance-free natural first-grade cotton.

These pads are one of the brands that I've enjoyed using. I find the shape of them to be comfortable and they fit really well. I've read that some people found the glue on these pads was causing the pads to not stick very well, but I found that they lasted well for over two hours! My only problem was that the pad seemed to bunch up in the middle after some time and I think this is due to them being a little wider than other branded pads.

Natracare's Organic & Natural Tampons & Pads - Review

Before I 'fell in love' with my Mooncup, I purchased a few products from Natracare. Natracare creates wipes, tampons, pads, and liners in so many different sizes and shapes, which are all organic and natural. Their products contain no chlorine bleaches, no Rayon, they're perfume-free, plastic-free, over 90% biodegradable, and are also compostable when under the correct conditions, how cool is that! 

Regular Applicator Tampons

I found the regular applicator tampons comfortable and easy to use. The applicator is totally chlorine-free with biodegradable cardboard and the tampons are made from 100% organic cotton, as well as being free from synthetic materials, chemical additives, and bleach. I would prefer a thicker string on these tampons though, so I probably wouldn't use these on a heavier day. Unlike other branded tampons the packaging of these is really cute and girly! 

Mini Panty Liners

The mini panty liners are made with certified organic cotton and totally chlorine-free, plant cellulose, and are also plastic-free. These liners look and feel thick but are quite narrow in shape. I found that when using these liners they seemed to bunch up quite a bit and came apart easily, but saying that they were still quite absorbent. I'm thinking of giving the curved liners ago, to see if that helps with the shaping and bunching of the mini liners. These mini liners are also available in a normal range which comes individually wrapped, unlike the ones I bought. 

Ultra Regular Pads with Wings

And lastly the ultra regular pads with wings. These pads are individually wrapped and are made with certified organic cotton and renewable and sustainable plant cellulose. They're plastic-free and chlorine-free just like all of the other products. Even though I chose the regular size for these pads they seem to be very very thin! I think if I buy these again I'm going to go for the supersize with wings just for the extra padding. 

Overall my favourite product so far from Natracare has to be the regular applicator tampons!

I would also like to try out the organic baby wipes and the organic intimate wipes that Natracare also produces.
