Gift Wellness Normal Pads & Panty Liners - Review*

Gift Wellness Ltd was founded in 2012 by Dr Zareen Roohi Ahmed who designed a new, innovative range of sanitary pads & panty liners. The idea was two-fold. Firstly, to address the poor quality of sanitary protection products that filled our supermarket aisles, most of which were made with toxic materials and artificial fragrances that caused a wide range of feminine problems. The other purpose of Gift Wellness was to provide sanitary pads to women in crisis situations, such as homeless women and women in refugee camps. So far, around 500,000 sanitary pads have been donated!

Gift Wellness Sanitary Pads are hypoallergenic, natural, breathable and luxuriously soft. They are 100% free of dust, chlorine and harmful chemicals. Herbal extracts, negative ions and far infrared ray layer made from tourmaline mineral with anti-bacterial capabilities help to reduce infection, eliminate odours, improve blood circulation, regulate flow and restore pH balance. Better for the environment - Due to higher absorbency, third fewer pads are used and thrown away resulting in reduced landfill waste.

A while ago I came across an advert to request some free samples of Gift Pads. I emailed the company and they kindly sent me two of their Normal Pads and two of their Panty Liners to try out. The pads are all natural, breathable and are hypoallergenic, which means they're relatively unlikely to cause an allergic reaction. The pads are also free of chlorine, harmful chemicals, are dermatologically tested, not tested on animals and contain no animal products so are suitable for vegans! Gift Wellness also donates 10% of profits to charity. I think the design of these pads has been thought out really well and I find them to have a better appearance than some of the other vegan and cruelty-free pads that I have seen before. I got on really well with both of these products and I found them to be very soft, which made them very comfortable to wear, it's as if they weren't there! They also had a good grip and stayed in place for all of their needed time and I had no problem with them bulking up like I have done before. The pads are light and thin, and because of this, they're easier to carry around with you in your bag when you're out and about. Even though the pads look and feel thinner than most other brands, don't let this put you off of trying them out as they're said to be at least 5x more absorbent than ordinary brands, which I personally agree with. I also really love that the packaging is 100% recyclable, so make sure you throw it away with all of your other recycling. Since receiving these samples I have bought a full sized box of Gift's Normal sized pads as I really enjoyed using the samples that were sent to me.

Acorelle Eau de Toilette in Vanilla Gardenia - Review*

Smell vanillaful.

Acorelle is a French range of certified organic fragrance, skin care, body care and baby care. All of the Acorelle Eau De Toilette range is 88% natural and are formulated by perfumers in Grasse, the birthplace of perfume. All of their scents are guaranteed to be free of phthalates, nitro-musks and colouring.

A sun-filled fragrance with sensual top notes of orange blossom, bergamot and coconut, intensified by a bewitching base note of musk and vanilla.

The second product I chose to review this month kindly sent to me from MyPure, was this Vanilla Gardenia scented Eau de Toilette by Acorelle. Since going cruelty-free and vegan with my cosmetics I've been eager to try and find to a good smelling perfume. I've tried a few testers of various brands and scents, but I haven't found anything that's made me want to buy a bigger version! I came across this Eau de Toilette, which is a dilute form of perfume, from Acorelle when I was looking through the My Pure website. I've been using a few of Acorelle's products for a while now. I'm quite a fan of vanilla scented products so I was immediately drawn to the vanilla scented EDT. I originally wanted to go for the Vanilla Blossom scent but that was only available in an Eau de Parfum, which is greater than an Eau de Toilette, so I thought it might be a bit too strong for me, so I opted for the Vanilla Gardenia in an Eau de Toilette. When I tested the EDT the first thing that came into my head was my Nan, it smelt so much like her or something that she would wear daily, that I instantly loved the smell of it. So after the EDT remind me of my Nan, I found that this scent really didn't suit my early twenties self and thought it would more aptly suit someone who's in their seventies or over. I really do love the smell of this but I think it's mainly because it reminds me of my lovely Nan so much. As I won't be using this product myself I'm happily gifting this product to, yes, my Nan and I'm sure she's going to love it! This scent might not be for a younger person like me, but I think it would make a great gift for grandparents alike, so keep this product in mind when you're not sure about what to buy your Nan or Grandma. As you can tell for personal reasons I won't be repurchasing this scented fragrance again. I am looking forward to trying a few other scents that Acorelle have to offer though!

You won't find any artificial preservatives, genetically modified or chemical basic products in any of the items that they sell. Their ingredients are obtained in specially developed processes that make the process of the substances possible without damage or a loss in accompanying substances. Due to not using any preservatives, their products have an expiration date, this shows proof that their products are made of absolute freshness. They always act in an environmentally-friendly and ethical manner and that begins with the purchasing of raw materials and continues through their vegan production without animal testing and up to their packaging return concept. RINGANA guarantees the highest quality and absolute freshness. And they can do so because, with them, everything takes place at a single location. From development to shipping. That is how they are able to guarantee the best goods for the entire value-added chain, offer the first-class service, and deliver their unique products directly to the customers at home.

A couple of months ago RINGANA, a company who produce fresh vegan and cruelty-free products kindly contacted me to see if I would be interested in trying out a few of their products! I had a look at their website and liked what I saw, I ended up being sent a sample of the Hand and Nail Balm and the Foot balm as I had shown interest in both of these products.

Hand Balm

Our intensively nurturing fresh hand balm cares for and protects hands and nails. It soothes and regenerates the skin and restores elasticity. Dry hands are given a long-lasting supply of nourishing substances, making them feel soft and supple again.

This balm isn't a thick product so you only need a little of it for it to go a long way! The balm seemed to moisture the dry patches on my hands but it did leave them feeling a little oily at first which I try to steer away from in a hand cream. But once it had soaked in it left my hands feeling really smooth and soft! The smell reminds me a bit of suncream, but one that I'm not too keen on. I'm not sure if it's the scent of the jojoba oil or the aloe vera that's putting me off of the strong scent, but it's just not for me. I'm sad to say I don't think I'll be repurchasing this product again as I really don't like the strong scent it gives off even though it moisturisers my hands really well.

Foot Balm

Our quickly absorbed balm will make your feet soft and smooth. Since the skin of our feet has few sebum glands, they quickly become rough and dry with the pressure we put on them every day. Intensive care and lots of hydration make dry feet and cracked heels noticeably smoother and softer again. Apply the balm in the evening from the toes to the ankle joint, and with very dry skin, apply in the morning, as well. Apply generously at first, and then it is best to put on cotton socks over it. The tea tree oil content makes the Foot Balm an ideal care product with fever blisters, and it is also a relief when applied after hair removal.

The Foot Balm is a thin and light consistency which is a great thing for a foot product as you don't want your feet piled up with a thick cream! I really enjoy the fresh minty smell of this product and it seems to make the skin on my heels feel really soft and smooth. So overall I would think about repurchasing this product again as I really like the smell of it and it's really helped out with the dry patches on my heels.

Laidbare Spot The Difference Problem Skin Treatment Cream - Review*

Laidbare Naturaceuticals offers a collection of natural results-driven skin care formulated from fresh plants, with superior essential oils, natural extracts and vitamins blended expertly into a luxurious skin food that promises to always be beneficial, never artificial.

Spot The Difference Treatment Cream is said to banish blemishes, prevent breakouts and is great for oily/sensitive skin. The cream is claimed to not strip your skin of essential oils and hydration but will help to reduce shine. Their serum is combined with a few ingredients including Caffeine which is a valuable antioxidant, an anti-inflammatory and is also known to help sun damaged skin. Along with Horse Chestnut Oil which has the ability to care and soothe sensitive, irritated skin. And Chrysanthemum which is said to help reduce lumps and bumps such as spots. Laidbare is also a cruelty-free company and all of their products are completely vegan.

The first product I chose to review this month kindly sent to me from MyPure, was this intriguing Spot The Difference Problem Skin Treatment Cream by Laidbare. I've tried a few Laidbare products before, here and here and I've happily been impressed with all of them so far! This is one of the products I've been wanting to try ever since I discovered Laidbare's products, but have been patiently waiting to try until I had used up other similar creams. I finally gave in and it's now an everyday staple product in my daily routine. To apply the cream you can either apply to your areas of concern or all over the face. I have noticed that if I use a large amount of the cream all over my face it has left me with slightly dry and flaky skin around my nose area, so I prefer to use a small amount of the cream directly onto a problem area. I like the smell of this product as it's a very light citrus scent and isn't very noticeable at all. And since using the cream non-stop day and night, I've found that most of my spots have reduced slightly in size and have noticeably become less inflamed. I've really enjoyed trying this cream out and now it's definitely a daily routine staple! As you can probably tell, I'll be repurchasing this cream once I've used this tube up as I personally think it's great.
